I personally Like to use plygrip on the top edge of the outside arms and outside back. It makes it easier to get the skirt height right. Then I hand sew the sides. The seat I do the same with. The seat and decking go on first, then I put the skirt in place and hand sew the top edge to the decking. I know this sounds dumb. Too much hand sewing. But I find it the easist way to get the skirt height off the floor right. I also charge alot more for a dressmaker skirt.
Thanks
Craig

Dressmaker Skirt by: Craig
Dressmaker skirts are very difficult and I'm not able to explain in an email or a post here. I'll try to do a video on how to do one. I don't do them very often. Are there specific parts of it you have questions on or is it the whole process? If it's just an item or two I might be able to explain that. Feel free to post pictures of parts you have questions on and I can answer them that way too!
I have my own business and try to answer everyone's questions from the site as soon as possible. This one may be out in the future a ways because it will take some time to put something together.
I would like to help you and thanks so much for asking!
