I've just watched a couple of you videos online and am eager to get started myself!!
But like Pam, I have never done any projects before. I was hoping I'd get the goahead from you to send a couple of pics of my two wooden chairs as well. I LOVE them (I'm a vintage lover) and would like to tackle the reupholstering myself.
But, since I'm not a native speaker, I moved over from little town 80 m se of Amsterdam (now in Chicago), I am not exactly sure what kind of materials you use in your blue chair/with the extra lining (forgot how it's called, i think a 'welt', don't know how to write it) in one of your videos. I'd love to do that, but my chairs are really peculiar and am not sure how to proceed. I figured I'd use an old table cloth to practice sew it first, I bought beautiful Charles and Ray Eames upholstery fabric and I'd hate to mess it up ;)
Could I send you pics, so you could recommend the foam, welting material, cotton for in between fabric and foam, and also which brand adhesive/staple gun would be the best (or advice me on where to buy those; love to buy them from you and the Mrs.).
Thanks so much for your time.
Cheers,
Ellis

Hi Pam!
Send a picture of the chair to spiritedladyboutique@gmail.com and then I can help you decide how to proceed.
Unless you want to do upholstery full time, a heavy duty home machine should be all you would need.
I can put together a basic package of tools for you that you can purchase directly from me if you're interested.
I enjoy helping people with their projects and it would be great to follow yours on our website.
Thanks for asking!
