wing chair

by Bill Stowers
(Minden, NV)

Hello Craig,
I have watched your Wing Chair Recover DVD several times and learn something each time. My project is to cover a new frame with leather. I have photos of a prototype to follow for help. There are many questions still in my mind. I am trying to keep the sewing to a minimum, as I don't sew. I will farm out the necessary sewing, cushion cover and welting. My question today is in regard the wing, it gets a welt and decorative nails on the outer edge. I plan to do the wing first, the inside back next, (button tufted with channels, stuffed with horse hair)then the inside arm. My reason for doing the wing first is because of the nail trim, by applying the nails, then I can fold the I.A. leather around the lower part of the wing and pull it to the back for attachment. Does this sound OK? All help is greatly appreciated.
Thanking you in advance,
Bill Stowers willymakit@clearwire.net

Your wing chair recovery video

by Sandy
(Andrews, NC)

I have been in upholstery for a year now. I love your videos on you tube. The one "Wing chair Recovery" is great. Well, they are all great. But on this one you said you were going to make the wing better. Not as a slip cover over the wing. You did not have time on your video to show how you inproved this. I would like to know. If you can show that, it would be great. I would like to order your 2 hour dvd. Please let me know how.

Thank you for your time. Hope to hear from you soon.
Sandy

Upholstery DVD's

Hello I have just watched your DVD on you tube reupholstering a winged chair and I would like to be able to get a full copy of it. Do you sell your DVD's?

I work in a NHS hospital for Young People with mental health problems and we would like to set up a work shop for them to learn new skills and having watched your DVD's they are by far the best. Would you be able to advise me on this please.

Kind regards
